Bi-monthly Free Reiki Demo Sessions at National Olympic Memorial Youth Center

The weather moved forward, and the fall has come. We had a calm meeting with four attendees. Having fewer attendees allowed us to have nice long sessions and a Q&A session, which was very helpful for everyone.

Bi-monthly Small Koryukai at National Olympic Memorial Youth Center

Summer heat still remains, but the fall is definitely approaching. We had eight attendees at today’s Small Koryukai in a bigger room than usual. Those who learned Reiki recently were not confident to offer Reiki sessions at first, but by the time we finished practicing various exercises and techniques, they were able to feel Reiki energy coming from their hands. Reiki Mawashi also helped them be more confident.

Bi-monthly Free Reiki Demo Sessions at National Olympic Memorial Youth Center

It was right after the hurricane attack and was hot and humid in Tokyo and the vicinity. We had eight attendees at the meeting. Some people needed more assistance in understanding Reiki, and we were able to provide some advice along with practicing Reiki sessions and exercises

“Iyashi Fair 2018 in Tokyo” at Tokyo Big Site, East 2-3 Rooms

This is a famous and massive exhibition about “HEAL (Iyashi)”.  GRN had a booth in 2006, and in 2012, we attended with volunteers. This time we had eight Gendai Reiki practitioners and offered short Reiki sessions to over 50 people at our booth. Despite the hot and humid weather, approximately 37,000 attendees enjoyed various types of healing modalities, shopping, and lectures. We were glad to see more Reiki booths than before because it means Reiki has been accepted and needed more.

Summer Kensankai Retreat at Oasis, Iizuna, Nagano

On the day we started the Kensankai Retreat, a horrible storm was approaching to western Japan.  An evacuation watch was issued in Nagano, but we executed the Retreat because most attendees were from the eastern areas. Attendees from western Japan had to cancel because public transportation on land became unavailable, while some other people were able to fly in.

The concept of the Retreat was “Enjoy relaxation”. Iizuna produced a lot of excellent healing music with great nature and polished yet intense energy. We were able to finish the Kensankai Retreat safely with wonderful awakenings and meaningful training.

Bi-monthly Free Reiki Demo Sessions at National Olympic Memorial Youth Center

We had 11 attendees, including seven Reiki masters and practitioners on a hot, humid summer day. Many of them showed their interests in joining us as Reiki practitioner volunteers at the Iyashi Fair. We got positive responses from those who tried the Reiki sessions today.

In the morning: the 13th GRN General Meeting

In the afternoon: Gendai Reiki Kanto Koryukai at National Olympic Memorial Youth Center

Tokyo was cooler with drizzle as the rainy season approaches.

80% of the members attended, including those who sent us power of attorney in writing.

We spent extra time on lively discussions on the proposals, and all of them were approved. Our new policies and activity plans will be implemented. In the afternoon, we had Kanto Koryukai only with the General Meeting attendees. This was the first time that we didn’t have any general attendee; however, the quality of the Koryukai raised almost to a Master Kensankai Workshop because all of them were masters. It worked out well for the beginning of a new fiscal year.

Bi-monthly Small Koryukai at National Olympic Memorial Youth Center

Our first event of the year 2018 started with the Small Koryukai at our usual venue in Yoyogi.

Usually, in this area around this time of the year, we can enjoy beautiful cherry blossoms, but it was such unfortunate that, due to the weather, all flowers fell. We took extra time for each person to feel good Reiki flow with five attendees today.
