The year 2019 Activities

Bi-monthly Free Reiki Demo Sessions at National Olympic Memorial Youth Center

This was the last Free Reiki Demo Sessions in 2019. We had seven attendees including two newcomers. One of the visitors was a certified Reiki master, and offered Reiki sessions with other practitioners. More former Reiki practitioners are attending this meeting, and our Free Reiki Demo Sessions and Small koryukai are providing great opportunities for them to get together with other practitioners.

Bi-monthly Small Koryukai at National Olympic Memorial Youth Center

We had to have the Small koryukai in a different room with stationary desks because all other rooms were used for the orientation sessions for volunteers for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

There were 15 attendees, which was the largest number. We had a nice surprise to meet people from overseas. Reiki has surely spread to many parts of the world, and we love to share the warm and light energy of Reiki whenever possible.

Fall Kensankai Retreat

Venue: Oasis Retreat Center, Iizuna, Nagano

The hurricane #15 damaged a lot of places in the eastern Japan and we were on the verge of canceling this retreat, but we were able to go at the last moment. Power was out for 5 days on the previous week, and there were fallen trees and telephone poles everywhere. 8 people attended the retreat. The Kensankai was filled with fun and serene activities such as Reiki session exchange, practice of Gendai Reiki techniques, walking meditation in the Togakushi Shrine, with organic vegan meals prepared by the GRN board member and American breakfast by the owner of the venue, Ms. Linda Miyashita. We spent such fun and memorable three days together.
